Incorporating photos and Information

Laura is an attractive town located in the southern Flinders Ranges on Main North Road and on the shores of Rocky River. The town was settled in the 1870's with essentially the local dairying and grain the chief industries of which remains today. The main street of Laura is excellent - tree lined avenue with a number of small, quaint shops scattered amongst various historic buildings and parks. To the west of town is the Beetaloo Reservoir - built in the late 1800's and still provides water to Laura and the Port Pirie region.
