Australian Towns & Cities
Queensland: Murgon
Incorporating photos and Information
from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways

Murgon is an attractive town located on the northern end of the Bunya Highway. While Murgon is the centre for the local dairying, beef and peanut industries, there are several wineries also located nearby. In the area are the Cherburg Emu Farm, several environmental parks and the QLD Dairy Museum. The town is very well looked after - the main shopping precinct is colourful and lively and abuts onto Lamb Street which has a wide, park filled median strip.
