Incorporating photos and Information from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways site

Coolum Beach is a beachside suburb on Queensland's Sunshine Coast The name  Coolum comes from an Aboriginal word, gulum or kulum (the Kabi word for blunt or headless), in reference to its shape of nearby Mount Coolum, that does not have a peak.

Popular with tourists, Coolum Beach is a hub located between Noosa Heads and Maroochydore on a parcel of land between the Sunshine Motorway,  bushland and the Pacific Ocean.

Coolum Beach is close to a number of attractions including Mount Coolum National Park.
