General Information:

National Route 1 is a major route in WA.

The route varies in form from multi-laned arterial road, suburban road, to single carriageway rural highway. It passes through commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural land, and also through state forest and conservation areas.

Former Alignment:

The former alignment through Manjimup takes in Giblett Street which passes through the town centre. Looking at the age of trailblazers located on Giblett Street, the bypassing of the town centre occured before the 1980s.

Black Directional Sign:
Black ID sign south of Ipsen St at Manjimup, this is the only black sign located in the town centre. February 2008. This sign has since been removed.
