General Information:

A10 is a dual carriageway arterial route through the coastal city of Geelong.

A10 once formed the main route between Melbourne and the greater Geelong region, and passes through residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

History:

1925: Princes Highway declared as a state highway, even though the name was in use for years prior. 2
1960s: Princes Highway (Geelong Road) duplicated. 3
June 2009: Geelong Ring Road (Princes Freeway) opened to traffic through to Waurn Ponds. It provides a 23km freeway link between Corio and Waurn Ponds, along Geelong's western outskirts. 4
