General Information:

A18 runs in a generally northwesterly / southeasterly direction through some of Adelaide's northern suburbs. It is dual carriageway from the Salisbury Hwy (A13) junction through the intersection with North East Road in Modbury. The rest of the route is undivided.

Bolivar Road experiences around 17 700 vehicles per day on the A18 section of the road. Kings Road is used by 8200 vehicles per day. 1

History:

• 17 February 2004: Installation of new signal controller at the intersection of Bridge Road and McIntyre Road, Para Hills 2
• 19 February 2004: Installation of new signal controller at the intersection of McIntyre Road and Montague Road, Modbury 2
• 6 June 2005: Construction of safety improvements to the intersection of Montague Road and McIntyre Road, Modbury North, including modifications to the left turn lanes and the installation of sheltered right turn lanes on Montague Road, while maintaining two through lanes. 2
• June 2006: Completion of the reconstruction of the Kings Road / Martins Road roundabout and traffic management improvements on Kings Road between Lavender Drive and Southcott Terrace. 2
