General Information:
State Route 9 is a short suburban arterial route linking the Townsville CBD with the western industrial areas, airport and RAAF base. It's a mix of divided and undivided road, and services mostly commercial and industrial sites. The route was once part of the Bruce Highway alignment. Approximately 13,000 vehicles use this road each day, of which approximately 25% are commercial vehicles. 1
