General Information:
NR79 is a rural route in outback Queensland, linking a number of small communities with the major service town of Longreach.
The route was intended to be a link between Melbourne CBD, Broken Hill and Longreach, but as it was never fully sealed before the introduction of alphanumeric route numbering, NR79 will never be fully realised.
