Weakleys Drive is a single carriageway road with generally one lane in direction for most of its length, which acts as a connector from the end of the Sydney-Newcastle Fwy to the New England Hwy in the Beresfield area, about 21 km northwest of Newcastle.

Weakleys Drive was formerly a quiet residential road of semi-rural properties and large acreage residential cottages. 2

The images shown on this page are of Weakleys Drive, prior to the opening of the grade separated interchange with the New England Highway.

Some modification of this junction has occured when this photo was taken. The separated left turn lane was removed and a no right turn restriction added to allow works to commence on the interchange with New England Hwy, despite this, the image depicts the general conditions of the area prior to completion of the grade seperated interchange
