General Information:

Newcastle Avenue is the main through route, that passes through the southeastern industrial suburb of Fyshwick. It's a divided multi-laned road servicing factories and bulky goods stores. It acts as an alternate route from Monaro Hwy to Hindmarsh Dr and Canberra Av.

The road is quite heavily trafficked most days, and is controlled by a series of traffic signals and roundabouts. Most of the streets in Fyshwick gain their names from Australian industrial cities, including Newcastle Street.
